Bucket List

44 unique places in the natural and man-made world meticulously cut and stitched together digitally. The entire scene repeats at the center waterfall. I'm lucky that 1/3 of the photos are mine, but Bucket List would have never been made if I didn't also reach out to other sources. Austin WSL's version of "Butteflight

One monarch's journey of grace a determination across the Texas Hill Country. A combination of tradition and innovation, this work has bits of Julian Onderdonk's paintings in the public domain assembled into the panoramic backdrop for the monarch. I took video of monarchs flying, removed them from the backgrounds, and assembled them into the path of one creature digitally. Special 8x10" prints are $50 and 16X20"s are $100 with almost all of that benefitting the Symphony.

Affinity

Let’s just say Austin iconography isn’t in short supply. My two cents is a little more arcane. These are a few maverick freetail bats flying a few blocks upstream near Rock Island-- not the 20-30 miles downstream with millions of others-- to eat. 16X20" paper with larger top and bottom margins.

Dé Jà (Which Do You Choose?)

One of my first collages. On one level, it's a romantic collage of elements that don't have to relate. But consider the compelling plot twist for the reincarnation-minded: What if you were presented with just a few flash images of the future and had to choose your the next course life from them? Don't sweat it. Life is just a blip in time after all. 16X20" paper

Ah-Hah!

My Utopian fantasy about erasing all the cultural and personal baggage assigned to Edvard Munch’s “The Scream” by removing the anguished person. But what is to be said about the remaining landscape unto itself? I was appalled when I first saw museum shops co-opting The Scream for their gift shops ala life-size punching bags.
